Mic Technique

The correct way to hold, use and position a microphone.

TEK Tips Mic Technique

In the case of a handheld microphone, the correct technique is to grip it firmly in the center of the mic stem and hold it slightly below the chin. A lavalier should be placed centered on the shirt or blouse between the second and third buttons.
