We enjoy answering questions about what we do. In our business, there is a lot to know.
We don’t claim to know it all, but one thing we do know is that sharing our knowledge helps us and our clients work smarter. Throughout our history, TEK Productions has been involved in educating industry professionals on the technical side of live-event and media production.
TEK Tips is a resource for the event community. This resource is mostly limited to terms and guidelines for use in the media production and live-event environment.

Rehearsal
The scheduled time for presenters or artists to practice in show conditions prior to the actual scheduled event.
Rehearsals are just as important for the technical crew as they are for the presenters. A rehearsal is an opportunity for a show producer or stage manager to walk presenters through their show elements and for the crew to familiarize themselves with the technical cues. Elements that are covered during rehearsal include entrances/exits, running through scripts, interfacing with the technical components (i.e. graphics system, sound checks, video playback, etc.) and overall show timing.
