Webcast

The transmission of sound and images from a single content source using streaming technology via the Internet.

A webcast can be available live or on demand. For the end user, all that is required is a computer or mobile device and an internet connection (high speed preferred)
Webcasting is different from web conferencing. Webcasting takes a single source, distributes it to many viewers simultaneously and is not typically interactive. Web conferencing is designed for multiple users to interact at the same time.
